Get Involved!
A community’s strength lies in the energy and commitment of its residents. Seeped in history, this Far South Side community is truly a village engaged with neighbors and full of civic pride. At the heart of this village lies the Pullman Civic Organization (PCO), which gives voice to residents and homeowners through this membership-driven organization. Over the years, the PCO has organized and supported many events, from the push to become a Chicago Landmark and National Historical Park to its co-sponsorship of the annual House Tour, Labor Day celebrations, art shows, environmental cleanups, meetings with City Hall, and much more. The PCO is a democratic organization run by the people, for the people.
The monthly membership meetings--on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm--is an open forum where residents and homeowners can bring their inspiration, hopes and dreams for the betterment of the community, and voice their concerns through collective problem-solving.
As an idea incubator, the PCO has helped birth of a number of our sister organizations, such as the Historic Pullman Foundation, the Historic Pullman Garden Club and Pullman Arts.
